These terms describe how an order works between you and me, Anna Hicks, working from Smoky Lake, Alberta, Canada. Your written quote carries the specifics of each order.
Quotes and approval
Every order starts with a quote that states what I will do, the price, the turnaround and the payment terms. Work begins after you accept the quote.
Your originals
I handle originals with care and return them to you with the finished files. Before you post anything, we agree in writing how it travels: packaging, tracking, insurance and return shipping. Please keep your own copies or photos of anything irreplaceable before you send it.
Digital files and delivery
Finished files are delivered at full resolution through a secure download. I adapt files for print or for screen as you need.
Rights to the images
You confirm that you own, or are allowed to use, every image you send me. The finished work is yours for the purpose you ordered it. I may show before-and-after examples of my work in my portfolio, only with your agreement.
Design work
For design projects, the quote lists what is included. Changes beyond that scope are quoted separately before I start them.
Changes and cancellations
If you need to change or cancel an order, tell me as soon as you can. The terms for work already started are stated in your quote.
Liability
I take care with every original and every file. The limits of my responsibility for loss or damage, including in the post, are agreed in writing for each order before you send anything.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
