What I collect, why, and what happens to it.

This page explains what information I collect through this website, why I collect it and what I do with it. I am Anna Hicks, a sole practitioner working from Smoky Lake, Alberta, Canada. If anything here is unclear, write to me using the details on the contact page.

What I collect

  • What you send me. When you contact me or request a quote, I receive the name, email address, phone number and message you provide, plus any photos or files you attach.
  • Your originals. If you hand over or post physical photographs, film or slides, I handle them to carry out your order.
  • Visit statistics. I use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies. If you accept the cookie choice, I also use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages are visited and how people find the site.

Why I collect it

I use your information to answer your questions, prepare quotes, do the work you ask for and send you the finished files. I do not use it for anything else.

Who sees it

Your messages reach me by email. The website is hosted on a content delivery service that serves pages and helps protect forms from spam. These providers process data only to deliver the service. I do not sell your information or share it for advertising.

Cookies and Google Analytics

When you first visit, a small notice asks whether Google Analytics may set cookies. Until you accept, analytics storage stays off. If you accept, Google Analytics sets cookies (such as _ga) and receives the pages you view, an approximate location and technical details of your device, which Google processes under its own privacy terms. I do not use advertising cookies. You can change your mind at any time with “Cookie settings” in the footer; declining takes effect immediately, and cookies already set expire on their own or can be removed in your browser.

Spam protection

Forms on this site use a spam check that may set a small token in your browser to tell people from automated programs.

How long I keep it

I keep correspondence and order records for as long as I need them to complete your work and to keep ordinary business records. If you ask me to delete your information, I do so unless the law requires me to keep it.

Your choices

You can ask me what I hold about you, ask me to correct it or ask me to delete it. Contact me and I will respond.

Changes

If I change this policy, the new version appears on this page with the date of the change.
